About

I’m Rebecca Nathalia Anzueto, an illustrator with a Bachelor’s Degree in Animation and a background in Design & Illustration. While my foundation lies in visual design, illustration has always been where my heart lives; where storytelling, imagination, and vision collide.

I draw inspiration from the quiet poetry of daily life, the rhythms of nature, and the companionship of animals. My work carries a sense of stillness and wonder, much like the tranquil worlds of Studio Ghibli, where the ordinary is transformed into something luminous.

Working across both traditional and digital mediums, my illustrations are marked by distinct line work and a sensitivity to detail. Each piece is an invitation into a world of unique characters and enduring stories, created with the intention of leaving a lasting impression.

For me, illustration is not only a practice but a devotion; a way to weave beauty and meaning into moments that might otherwise pass unnoticed. It is my passion, my motivation; a path I will continue to follow with depth and curiosity.

Q & A

Questions asked

I use photoshop and a Wacom tablet for any digital illustrations. For traditional mediums like pen or ink, I use Micron pens in the sizes of .005, 01, 03, 05  they tend to be my favorite, faber castell pens are also a great option for ink illustrations. For my watercolor illustrations I use Arches Hot press watercolor block and Daniel smith watercolors

A lot of my influences range from other artists, poets, writers, and music. I take something that inspires me even if it’s a simple phrase and I expand it to tell a narrative story. Other times it’s a word or visual picture in my mind. Inspiration comes and goes, so I like to take my thoughts captive and document them in my journal for future use. You never know what might come out of a simple thought of inspiration or a story concept.

My illustrative style is surreal and imaginative. It is story driven and displays a wide range of color palettes, that helps reveal the story in a visual language. My style is recognizable and involves pen techniques, lines and strokes often combined with mellow and vibrant colors. If not combined with colors, pens are involved that reveal strong and thin pen strokes which outline and contour the subject matter delicately with ease. Displaying a wide range of tones and shadows that underline and define the story waiting to be told.

Besides drawing and painting, I love screenwriting, film, poetry, music, airplanes, reading books, writing stories, exploring new places and learning new things.

I also really love Dogs!
